Speculations has been definitely surrounding the possibility of free upgrade to Windows 7 for existing Windows Vista users, much to the likes of Microsoft. Yet, eager as they are to release the brand new toy to the overly-excited kids, they do not want to spoil the suspense just yet. However much to the delights of consumers, the good news have been finally blessed upon. Starting from 1st July 2009, consumers who purchase new systems will be given the option to upgrade from Windows Vista to Windows 7 completely free. However only certain versions of Windows Vista qualify for the above.

News brimming with developers and testers sprawling all over the Microsoft Windows 7 Beta Build 7000 is a thing of the past, what consumers are more inclined towards now in today's economic credit crunch is the free jump-wagon to Windows 7 at little to no cost. Perhaps this is something to be happy about for the new year.
